A digital strategy initiative supported by a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts in 2019, matching funds from the Toronto Arts Council and MITACS Accelerate funding programs as well as many independent programming and content partnerships from 2020–2021.
The primary goal was to broaden access to using the VUCAVU platform by art organizations beyond our 8 founding partners and to diversify the ways we can serve the Canadian arts community and their audiences.
We are currently looking for new board members!
VUCAVU is thrilled to announce two new team members, Stephanie Poruchnyk-Butler and Marko Djurdjić, with support from the Government of Canada, MITACS, and York University.

Cineworks is seeking submissions of 5 minute films that explore a big idea through a small ecological footprint. They invite filmmakers to use recycled materials, found footage, or repurposed moving images. The deadline to apply is August 1, 2020!

VUCAVU is excited and honoured to participate in FIFA CONNEXIONS, as part of the International Festival of Films on Art's (FIFA) professional conference series in Montreal from March 20-22, 2019. VUCAVU's Jacquelyn Hébert will be part of a panel called A Discussion With Web Platforms for Films About Art ( Rencontre avec les plateformes web pour le film sur l'art) on MARCH 20th that includes the participation of ART21, NOWNESS, STINGRAY and VUCAVU.
In 2017, Cecilia Araneda served as VUCAVU’s Executive Director. Cecilia was always very forward thinking and, right from the start, began visioning and working towards the future of the platform.
VUCAVU is very pleased to announce that Cecilia Araneda will be joining us as our new Executive Director.
