Project-C Open Call for Submissions

Cineworks is seeking submissions of 5 minute films that explore a big idea through a small ecological footprint. They invite filmmakers to use recycled materials, found footage, or repurposed moving images.
 
~ Applications open June 1 and close on August 1, 2020.

~ A shortlist of 10 films will be shown on VUCAVU for free from September 15-30, 2020.

~ Shortlisted artists will receive a screening fee with the option to keep their work on VUCAVU and receive ongoing rental revenues of 70-100%.

~ Two films will be chosen for honourable mention and awarded $250 each. One film will be selected as the Project-C Spotlight Film and awarded $1,000 with a $500 rental credit with Cineworks.

We strongly encourage applications from People of Colour, Indigenous or First Nations individuals, LGBTQ2S+, persons with disabilities, and landed immigrants. Applicants do not have to be a current Canadian Citizen, but do have to reside within the province of British Columbia.
