This short video documents a performance piece that was conducted in 2012. The resulting video is one component in a larger installation that integrates video, and architectural sculpture. This piece depicts the artist, dressed as a labourer, as he performs the menial task of cleaning thirty dirty plaster pails. Scraping and scrubbing, the artist cleans the pails, stacks them in a large pyramid, and has a cigarette. The repetitive nature of the labour depicted, coupled with the looping of the video, draw a parallel to the absurdity of the repetitive labour of the Greek myth of Sisyphus.
