Synopsis

Kewekapawetan, which means "going back" in Cree, is a film about the annual gathering at South Indian Lake, Manitoba which brings together family and community members to celebrate the land. The community was displaced after the Manitoba government flooded South Indian Lake in the 1970s. Many people. including the filmmakers own father, never return for the gathering as it is too painful for them to remember.
