In On Location 2: Four Double Bills, Turner selected eight Vancouver-made films, removed everything but their exterior location shots, and ran them chronologically, in pairs, without sound. Larry Kent's The Bitter Ash (1963) and James Clavell's The Sweet and the Bitter (1967) is followed by Robert Altman's That Cold Day in the Park (1969) and McCabe & Mrs Miller (1971); Zale Dalen's Skip Tracer (1977) and Dennis Hopper's Out of the Blue (1980); and Mina Shum's Double Happiness (1994) and Paul Fox's Everything's Gone Green (2006).
