Bio

Raised at the borders of Quebec and Ontario, Alexandre Grégoire grew up in a franglophone suburb where he takes inspiration for his eerie, colorful short films and music videos. He studied photography in Ottawa and after a two year hiatus battling Hodgekin’s disease, he made his first professional short film with actress Anne-Marie Cadieux and moved to Montreal. He received attention from producers with his short film Moodland and his first music video “Plus vite que ton corps” for French singer Pierre Lapointe. He then started his own production company, AY Films and now produces and directs low-fi 90s retro videos.
