Women’s Hands is a video about honouring the contributions of women in not only India, but around the world. This video was shot in Rajasthan and depicts Lodha’s respect and interest for her sisters in India. Lodha focusses on the hands of the women that she met on her travels, and became fascinated by their myriad functions : working, playing, engaging in quotidian, spiritual, traditional and highly modern activities. Women’s Hands was produced as part of the New Artist in New Media Fund program at Video Pool Media Arts Centre.
