In Grandma Smokes for Jesus’ Love Erika MacPherson is engaged in a dialogue with the stories of her grandma. The idea that all women are constricted by limitations imposed externally is portrayed by stories intertwined with letter correspondence, myth and song creating an alternate identity for both grandmother and grand daughter.
