Synopsis

Images of power and crisis are orchestrated over Ezra Pound’s translations of Confucius’ Great Digest, written on ancient stone tablets. As Confucious intimates, “To seek harmony in the nation, one must first of all put one’s own house in order. To put one’s own house in order, one must seek precise verbal definitions of the ineffable.” Liu reads in Cantonese while Samwald reads the English translation.
