This presentation includes an overview of how we can help media artists and filmmakers promote their work.

This workshop is led by Jacquelyn Hébert, VUCAVU’s Community and Program Manager, and is intended for artists and filmmakers interested in learning about distribution for their film and videos. During the session, Jacquelyn will discuss what VUCAVU.com is, who their partners are and what it offers artists. This will also include an overview of other Video-On-Demand (VOD) platforms, including the Yukon Film Society's very own Available Light on Demand VOD and a discussion about how digital tools can be used to help promote an artists’ practice. Finally, the presentation will look at how VUCAVU can be used as a curatorial, research, and educational tool.

From June 14th - 17th, VUCAVU will be in Halifax to present two presentations and to participate in the 13th annual HALIFAX INDEPENT FILMMAKERS FESTIVAL (HIFF).
Hosted by HIFF as part of their 2019 distribution initiative. This presentation is happening on
Saturday, June 15th from 12:45-1:45pm at the Halifax Central Library, BMO Community Room.
