Bio
Mauricio Saenz (b. Matamoros, Mexico 1977) pursued a BA in Studio Art from the University of Texas and an MA in Artistic Production from the Polytechnic University of Valencia in Spain. In 2011 he received the purchase award from the Yucatan Biennial in the video art category and has participated in solo and group shows in the United States, Mexico, Spain, Germany, France, Colombia, Ecuador and Cuba. His work focuses on the concept of impossibility, abandonment and confinement through video art, installation, and performance art.
