Bio
Brian Stockton grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan, where he obtained a BFA in film from the University of Regina. In 1993-94 he was a resident at Norman’s Jewison’s prestigious Canadian Film Centre. While there, Brian wrote and directed the multi-award-winning short comedy, “The Weight of the World,” which screened recently on the Sci-Fi Channel in the U.S. He is also known as the animator behind several short films featuring The Blob Thing and numerous 16mm shorts such as “The Final Gift” and “TV Stories.” His most recent short is “Saskatchewan Part 2 (That’s My Wonderful Town),” a follow-up to the acclaimed “Saskatchewan Part 1.” Both premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
