Bio

Evan Roberts is an MFA candidate in Film Production at the University of Texas in Austin. He has worked on documentary projects with topics ranging from refugees in Palestine, to land rights in Ethiopia, to exonerated prisoners in California.  He has worked for clients such as the New York Times, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Apple. His first documentary film "Rush" about returned soldiers and their adrenaline addictions screened at SXSW. "33 Teeth," his first narrative short film, screened at numerous film festivals around the world, including Slamdance, and won the award for Best LGBT Short Film at the NYC Short Film Festival.

Eddie is a hormonal 14-year-old boy living alone with his mother in the suburbs. One day after school, he accidentally spies on his attractive older neighbor, Chad, as he steps out of the shower and measures himself with a red comb. Not long afterward, Eddie is the victim of a verbal slur by Chad's friend Tim. This inspires Eddie to enact some creative retaliation. Winner of the Audience Award at the MiMi LGBT Short Film Festival 2012.
