Kathryn Martin has written and directed four short films including The Missing Shoe, a 2000 Kick Start award winner. She has recently completed a half hour drama entitled In Separate Worlds, winner of the 2000 Kodak Canada Vision Award. In 1997, Through My Eyes won a National Screen Institute’s Drama Prize Award and has since screened at eight prestigious international film festivals including; The Montreal World Film Festival, Toronto Worldwide Short Film Festival, Victoria Independent International Film Festival, Toute de Flammes Femmes International Film Festival in Paris, France. Kathryn studied Fine Arts in Paris, and on her return, moved to Winnipeg and worked at the Winnipeg Film Group. Kathryn took script and film production courses through the Winnipeg Film Group and the University of Winnipeg. She has furthered her training as writer/director at the National Screen Institute and the Canadian Screen Institute in Ottawa.
