Anna MacDonald was a grade 12 student at Seven Oaks Met School in Winnipeg when she made her first film, Fight For Freedom, as a school project. She became passionate about filmmaking and social justice through different internship opportunities and experiences. Anna was inspired to make the film after hearing her mother’s story and was driven by her curiosity to learn about other people’s accounts, including how they fought for freedom in their countries and how they are still persevering today.
