Bio
Leon Johnson grew up on a grain farm near Borup, Minnesota. He graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead with a B.A. in Art, Political Science and History, and studied film at the University of Minnesota with Prof. Allen Downs. In 1972 Johnson moved to Winnipeg and was the founding coordinator of the Winnipeg Film Group in 1974. He currently lives in Winnipeg where he records location film sound with credits on 200+ feature, documentary and IMAX films.
