Bio

Heather Frise is a filmmaker, educator and visual artist. Her films have screened internationally and won numerous awards, including the Genie Award for Best Feature Documentary.  As a founding member of the Access to Media Education Society, she has taught video to a broad range of marginalized communities for over a decade. She has also been a documentary instructor at Emily Carr University and OCAD University. In 2013 she worked with the National Film Board of Canada on the ground-breaking collaborative media project, HIGHRISE.
