Alain Fournier is particularly interested with the fantasy genre, where the atmospheres are always a strong feature.
His first short film Of Mother and Tides (À Mères et Marées) won several awards (Fantasia, Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, Festival Off-court Trouville-sur-Mer). His second film (ÖKO), filmed as well with puppets, was nominated for the 2010 Jutra Award (Quebec, Canada) for Best Animation.
Inner City (La Cité entre les Murs) is his second essay with puppets, this time mixed up with 3D animation.
Alain Fournier is currently developping a feature film project with puppets.
