Bio

Ruth DeGraves spent more than a decade as a writer and producer for CBC radio and worked for two seasons as the host and writer of Open Wide for CBC National Television. In 2004 she was nominated for a Writers Guild of Canada documentary screenwriting award for the film Crapshoot. Between 2010 and 2013 Ruth wrote, directed, produced and narrated four documentary films including Choir Boy Lucky and Manitoba’s Wild West. In addition Ruth wrote a novel, several short stories and a handful of screenplays. Ruth passed away in June 2014.
