Bio

Peg Campbell received her PhD (ABD), in Philosophy, Media and Communications at The European Graduate School. She completed her MFA in Film Production and Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia. Peg Campbell's award winning documentary and dramatic films are broadcast on major networks and screened at international festivals including, Banff, Copenhagen, Information Film Producers of America, Melbourne, Toronto, Vancouver, and Women in Film. Her social activist films seek to rebalance power and unsettle societal assumptions. Her work is supported by research examining fairness, resilience, feminism and women in media. Cultural theory as it relates to contemporary media practice informs her technical research in S3D and dance for the camera. Dr. Campbell teaches in the Film, Video + Integrated Media area, as well as Critical Studies, Foundation and Graduate Studies at Emily Carr University.
