Bio

Originally from Argentina, Laura has lived in Montreal since the age of twenty-five years. As a self-taught filmmaker, she chooses to use film to bring art, identity creation, mental health and education together. In 2009, she directed and produced ANTOINE, her first feature film about the imaginary life of a young boy. The film was selected in about thirty festivals and awarded prizes in fifteen.

ARIEL (2013), her second feature film was also presented in several international film festivals, including IDFA, Thessaloniki and BAFICI. This film follows the journey of a young man who rebuilds his life after a terrible accident.

PRIMAS (2017) completes the trilogy and once more displays the power of imagination through Laura Bari’s singular artistic approach, which pushes the boundaries of the imagination and the real.
