The VUCAVU team is growing: we welcome Yvette Sin, in the position of Digital Education Programming Assistant at VUCAVU, a role supported by the “Digital Skills for Youth Program” internship program coordinated by the Independent Media Arts Alliance (AAMI) and funded by the Department of Innovation, Science and Economic
Development Canada.
Yvette Sin is an interdisciplinary artist, filmmaker, and bookseller based in Toronto. Her award-winning short films have screened internationally, including at the National Film Festival for Talented Youth and TIFF Next Wave. Her writing and collage works have been published in The Fruit Slice (2025), A Momo Room (2025), Drom Artist Collective’s CRAVING (2025), The Asian Canadian Living Archive (2024), and her essay “Some Kind of Holy” was long-listed for the 2022 CBC Non-Fiction Prize. You can often find Yvette at Another Story Bookshop, an independent political bookstore and education wholesaler in Toronto’s West End.
During her internship, Yvette will be providing research, admin, marketing, and curatorial support as the team launches institutional subscriptions to VUCAVU.éducation across the country.  With a strong background in Canadian independent film and a passion for the education sector, Yvette is dedicated to helping the VUCAVU team as they establish this new educational access service.
