Bio

Aonan Yang is a graduate of the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema at Concordia University, where he became the first Canadian to receive the Kodak Cinematography Award for the region of U.S. & Canada. After graduation, he founded GreenGround Productions with colleagues, producing the works of emerging Canadian film talent. Aonan’s own works, as well as GreenGround’s films that he has deeply involved have screened around the world at Sundance, TIFF, Clermont-Ferrand, Rotterdam and Berlin, winning awards within Canada and abroad. In 2008 Aonan was selected to participate in the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival Talent Lab, and in 2011 attended the Berlinale on invitation from Telefilm's Producers Without Borders.
