Bio

Jeremy Podeswa is an award winning Canadian feature film and television director. He has been nominated four times for the Best Director Emmy Award for HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire”, “Game of Thrones” (twice), and “The Pacific”. 

Recent work includes, HBOMax limited series “Station Eleven” (based on the novel by Emily St. John Mandel) which he both Executive Produced and Directed. He has also directed episodes of Apple’s “The Mosquito Coast”, Showtime’s mini-series “The Loudest Voice”, and “On Becoming a God in Central Florida".

He has written and directed three award winning feature films: Fugitive Pieces (2007), The Five Senses (1999), and Eclipse (1995).  

He has also directed on a number of other television shows and mini-series including: “The Handmaid’s Tale”, "True Detective", "Six Feet Under", "Homeland", "Dexter", "Weeds", "Queer as Folk", "The L Word", "The Walking Dead", and "American Horror Story: Asylum and Coven".
