Bio

Idalina is an award winning producer and director with 10 years of experience in film and television. She has produced, directed and written several films, documentaries, music videos and television programs in North America and across Europe. As a meisner trained actor and accomplished photographer, she took ownership of her own career in 2008 when she founded and became the artistic director of Nightshade Productions, an independent film production company in London, England. There, she produced her first short film, Invaded, which travelled the festival circuit in England and Portugal.After leaving England in 2010, Idalina founded another production company, A Film Company, where she produced her first documentary, All She Wrote Anthology. The film follows several female graffiti artists from around the world, and is currently distributed by the Canadian Filmmakers Distribution Center, and was nominated for best documentary at the LA Femme Film Festival in Los Angeles. The film is now available to stream on Opprimetv.com. The five part anthology also aired on FIBE TV 1, a platform dedicated to promoting the work of Toronto-based artists.In addition to pursuing independent projects, Idalina has produced and directed a variety of television projects that have been supported by the Canadian Media Fund. Her television experience includes working on Future Legends, My Job Rocks, and The Underground Music Scene. On each of her projects, Idalina was responsible for producing digital components including websites, applications, and virtual reality applications.
