Dana Inkster has worked as an independent producer and cultural marketer. Her art is based on the age-old practice of storytelling and includes short videos and broadcast documentaries, including the Gemini nominated and award-winning National Film Board of Canada production 24 DAYS IN BROOKS.

Inkster’s beautiful fiction references the destruction of Africville on the outskirts of Halifax in 1969. Four characters speak directly to the came ra about their lives and sexuality. This use of direct address says docu mentary, but the actors speak Inkster’s bittersweet words.
