Mélanie bought her first video camera with money she saved from a summer picking strawberries, and at age 15, she ventured into the world of filmmaking. As part of the first generation of YouTubers, Mélanie was the first talent in Quebec to reach one million online views with a comedy video entitled L'Anti Kamasutra in 2006. The web series Les Stagiaires, which she co-wrote and directed, was nominated in the “Best Comedy Web Series” category at the 2015 Gémeaux Awards Gala. She also works in advertising, where she has made her mark by creating more than 30 commercials in Quebec and internationally. Single (Seule) is her first film.
