Bio

Of Brazilian origin, Petunia Alves has lived and worked in Montreal since 1983. Involved in the independent video scene she became codirector at GIV in 1990. Active in the women's movement she directs and codirects tapes on challenges facing  women.  Her current works deal with memory.
