This work takes a take on the seminal work of Marina Abramovic and Ulay “Hair” video. A collaboration between partners Theo Pelmus and Kris Snowbird, who is Ojibwa and Cree, put themselves in a gesture conversation about their link as a couple coming from different cultural backgrounds. They braid their hair gradually till they become one entity. The work is shot in Pine Creek reserve and Winnipeg. The voice sound is Snowbird’s mother speaking in Sodo about nature and the changes that had occurred through out the years.
