The film features Footsteps, the famed cult of Foley artists living in a compound just outside of Toronto, Canada. These are people who see the whole world as comprised of things that can be rubbed, squeezed, scraped or hit together in inventive permutations to produce a simulacrum of the acoustic world we and our ears navigate through every day. Theirs is the world reflected through their own aural virtuosity, a mirror so clean we never suspect it's our own audio reflection we behold when they hold it up to us for inspection.
