Bio
Roxann Whitebean is from the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawake. She directed her first short fiction, Legend of the Storm, with financial assistance from the Canada Council for the Arts.
In 2015 she won the Best Drama Pitch Prize at the imagineNATIVE Film & Media Arts Festival and was selected by the Whistler Film Festival as an Aboriginal Fellow for her short film, The Paradigm. Roxann is an Alumni of the 2016 Aboriginal Documentary Program with the National Screen Institute and directed the five-part series, Thunder Blanket for CBC Short Docs.
