Hubert Caron-Guay lives in Montreal, where he works as an artist, director, scriptwriter and producer. After studying cinema at UQAM, he was an active member of the Épopée collective from 2010 to 2015, where he developed several documentary and fiction projects that have been widely distributed in Canada and abroad (L'État du moment, L'État des lieux, L'État du monde). 

As part of PRIM's Research and Experimental Creation residency, of which he was a recipient in 2016, Hubert Caron-Guay developed the feature-length documentary Destierros and the installation Arroyos, recently exhibited at the Dazibao art center.
