Bio

Oliver Hockenhull works in film, video, hyper media installations, writing, and design.  He has taught at Northwestern University in Chicago and presented at Universities in Canada, the US, and Europe. He has completed numerous documentaries, dramas, comedies, experimental and political films and his works have shown internationally to critical acclaim. His works are iconoclastic, visionary journeys enlivened by an intimate, poetic, and enlightening perspective. He has also been involved in the study, theory, and application of new media imaging and authoring technologies, and has been a research associate with The Centre for Image and Sound Research in Vancouver and a director/resident at The Banff Centre.
